Abstract: Cyber security is playing an increasingly important role in contemporary society, based on the operation of a global network of systems and information. This network is developing with infrastructures that, in addition to covering the national territory, are interconnected in a transnational technological circuit. Despite the porosity of national and supranational legislation, cybersecurity is proving increasingly central to the broad process of digitalisation that is affecting both public institutions and private sector actors. The book brings together the proceedings of the conference “Cybersecurity models and cybercrime prevention”, held as part of the PNRR Hard Disc Spoke 1 Project on 24 January 2025 at the Department of Political Science of the University of Naples Federico II. It includes writings by academics, professionals and representatives of the public administration who, from different disciplinary perspectives, discussed the highly dynamic structures that intersect the spheres of law, economics, international relations and technology, with a view to promoting a model for preventing such phenomena through more harmonious legislation.
