Abstract: This volume is the result of the Departmental Research Project (PRD) Inclusion and Exclusion. The Representation of the Contemporary Family in the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America, active in the period 2021-2024 at the Department of Literary, Linguistic and Comparative Studies, University of Naples L'Orientale. The contributions collected here analyze, from a perspective of public discourse theory or literary criticism, the topic of the processes of transformation that have been affecting the family institution in recent decades in the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America.

Author Biography

Augusto Guarino, University of Naples L'Orientale

Augusto Guarino, PhD. in Hispanic Literature (1990, University of Bolonia), since 2000 is Full Professor of Spanish literature at the Università degli Studi di Napoli "L'Orientale.

His main field of research is the narrative and theatre of the "Siglo de Oro", but he has also published essays in modern and contemporary Spanish and Latin-American novel, as well as about history and theory of translation in Spanish culture.
