Abstract: The theme of peace is deeply connected to the history of the city of Assisi. In 1943 and 1944, over 300 Jews found salvation here thanks to the actions of citizens, authorities, and religious people who, instead of denouncing them, hid them even on municipal premises by offering them false documents. Today, remembering these events is a duty on the part of the institutions because one contributes to an operation of historical memory, one helps not to forget the havoc committed against humanity.Hence, the project 'A Jewel for Peace' was born to represent the fight against indifference that we must all fight and we must all recognise this message.
