 Aims and scope: The series Laboratorio di traduzione was created within the DAAM Department of excellence Programme to host the results of the translation laboratories, courses and projects organized by UniOr professors with the active participation of their students. The aim of the Laboratorio di traduzione, which has an interdepartmental vocation, is to involve the expertise of UniOr professors in the field of translation, in order to organize educational workshops and introduce students to this important aspect of language learning. This scientific project comes from the main idea that translation still represents an indispensable and irreplaceable process that involves very different fields. Textual interpretation goes beyond the linguistic sphere, including political, social, economic issues, and characterizes itself, as Umberto Eco affirmed, “as a matter of negotiation”.

The series will welcome translations of texts belonging to different linguistic and geographical areas, from antiquity to the contemporary era, without distinction of gender and language, representing a first significant opportunity for UniOr students to approach the experience of translation in its theoretical and practical aspects.
