Words that Cross Borders: A Reading of True Stories

Professor of Organic Chemistry, she coordinates a research group focusing on natural substances, environmental monitoring, and biodiversity. She is the coordinator of the University's Erasmus Commission. The program currently supports the mobility of over 1,000 incoming and 900 outgoing students each year (an increase of approximately 40% since the Delegation's inception). She coordinated the participation in the Erasmus Program's KA2 actions aimed at implementing Cooperation Partnership projects, the design and implementation of which are supported by the EUF office. Since January 2025, she has been Vice President-elect of the European University Foundation (EUF), of which the University is a founding member, an association of 100 European universities committed to advocacy at the European Commission and Parliament. Coordinator of the SULIEIA program (TNE23-000_11, grant €1,839,490), a program supporting the University's international dimension, implemented with 5 Italian universities and 33 international universities (Mediterranean Area and Western Balkans) as partners. With SULIEIA, the following were created in just 20 months: 24 International Schools, 1 International Master's Degree English language courses for staff training and involvement at the central and departmental levels Italian language courses for international students. Events with society and on the theme of Gender: University Days of Intercultural Dialogue (February 2025); International School "Supporting Women in Research - The Med Hub" in collaboration with Al-Najah University (Palestinian Autonomous Territories); Staff Week (June 2025), in collaboration with the Erasmus and Mobility Office; Garden Party, May 21, 2025, a meeting with international students, held at the Royal Botanical Garden and in collaboration with the University Language Center (CLA) and the SINAPSI support center, to name a few. The exhibition "MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATE – PORTRAITS OF CHANGE," two editions and two catalogues with F. Visconti (DIARC).

Cultural manager and professional journalist with international training across Milan, London and New York, holding degrees in Musicology and Cultural Management.She built her career at Teatro alla Scala and Teatro di San Carlo, combining artistic vision with institutional leadership. Former President of Museo Madre (2018–2021), she was named “Best President” by Artribune and listed among Italy’s 100 Women of the Year by Corriere della Sera. Since 2021, she has served as Technical Advisor to the Italian Ministry of Culture on new museums and cultural heritage strategy. She conceived Art of Education for Luiss Guido Carli University, an innovative platform that merges contemporary art, inclusion, and sustainability. She curated the National Museum dedicated to Enrico Caruso at the Royal Palace of Naples (2023). In 2024, she was appointed Artistic Director of the 2500th Anniversary of Neapolis and of the cultural programming of the Real Albergo dei Poveri in Naples. In 2025, she was included in Il Giornale dell’ Arte’s Power100 among the most influential figures in the art system. In March 2026, she received the Maria Callas Award in New York ‘for developing a contemporary model of cultural management that integrates strategic vision, innovative planning, and heritage preservation’.
