Abstract: This new issue of the “Ginevra-Napoli”. Quaderno di Lingua, Letteratura e Cultura collects the reflections arising from a doctoral school held as part of the VariaForMea 2019 doctoral program and organized by the University of Geneva and the University of Naples L'Orientale, with the support of the Embassy of Switzerland in Italy and the Association of Swiss Universities (Swissuniversities).

That doctoral school, whose title was "New Linguistic Approaches to Literature and Fiction," was organized by the editors of this volume and took place May 14-16, 2019, at the Procida School for Higher Education of the University of Naples L'Orientale.

This issue collects French and Italian versions of eight contributions that question the possibility of applying a multidisciplinary approach to the analysis of literary texts, particularly fiction.

Author Biographies

Jana Altmanova , University of Naples L'Orientale

Jana Altmanova is a full professor of French Language, Linguistics and Translation at the University of Naples L'Orientale and president of the Francophone LTT (Lexicology, Terminology, Translation) Network. Her research focuses on the synchronic and diachronic study of the lexicon, with particular attention to the neology and semantics of the proper name, and on translation and specialized discourse analysis.

Michele Costagliola d’Abele, University of Naples L'Orientale

Michele Costagliola d’Abele is Tenured Lecturer in French literature at the Università degli Studi di Napoli “L’Orientale”. In particular his researches focuse on contemporary French literature (Oulipo, Perec, Queneau, Garréta, Pancrazi) and on the stylistic and pragmatic analysis of the literary text (encoding of subjectivity, effects of free indirect style, non-propositional effects of the subjective use of verbal tenses, etc.).

Jacques Moeschler, University of Geneva

Jacques Moeschler is Honorary Professor at the University of Geneva. His research has led him to explore the fields of (formal) semantics and (cognitive) pragmatics, which he has presented in several books (Introduction à la linguistique contemporaine, with Antoine Auchlin [Armand Colin, 2005, 2e éd.]; Initiation à la linguistique française [Armand Colin, 2021, 3e éd.]  and Initiation à l'étude du sens [Sciences Humaines Editions, 2012], with Sandrine Zufferey; Implicatures, with Sandrine Zufferey and Anne Reboul [Cambridge University Press]).
