Abstract: First result of the “Dibbuk Project” carried out at the Center for Jewish Studies of the University of Naples “L’Orientale”, in this volume it is published the first critical edition ‒ with transation, and an extensive introduction ‒ of Ḥayyim N. Bialik’s Hebrew translation of The Dybbuk of S.A. An-Skij. Lacking the original
manuscript, this edition was accomplished on its first edition, which appeared in the review Ha-Tequfah
(Moscow 1918), compared with the re-edition by Shemuel Leib Zitron (Vilna 1921) and the current popular
Or-Am edition (Tel Aviv 1983), highlightning its limits and divergences from the original text.
